About invena

What is invena?

invena is a household continuity platform. It helps you organise important information, such as insurance, utilities, documents, and other life-admin records, and share selected content with people you trust.

It is designed for calm, permission-based sharing, not as a generic file dump or social network.

What is a household continuity platform?

It is a tool for organising the information a household may need if something changes — for example account details, documents, contacts, and important instructions — so trusted people can find what matters when it matters.

Is invena live?

We are in early access (beta). The marketing website at invena.app is not yet live. The beta app is available at invena-backend.streamlit.app. Features may change during this period.

How much does it cost?

The beta is currently free. We have not launched paid plans yet. If we introduce pricing later, we will tell you before you are charged.

Privacy and security

What information does invena store?

You choose what to store. This may include account details, Space names, structured records, uploaded documents, sharing settings, and activity related to your use of the service.

We also process some technical and security data to keep the service running.

See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

Is my data encrypted?

We use HTTPS/TLS in transit and encryption at rest through our cloud providers. We do not currently offer end-to-end or client-side encryption.

No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Who can see my information?

Only people you invite to a Space, according to their role:

RoleAccess
OwnerManage the Space, members, permissions, and deletion
EditorAdd and update records and upload documents
ViewerView permitted content only

Access is controlled by the Space owner and enforced on our servers. We do not routinely browse your content.

Does invena sell my data?

No. We do not sell your personal data.

I think my account has been compromised

Email security@invena.app immediately. If you can still sign in, change your password in Account → Security right away.

Sharing and invitations

How do invitations work?

A Space owner, or another authorised member, can invite someone by email. Receiving an invitation email does not create an account or grant access. The invitee must sign up or log in and accept the invitation before they can see Space content.

If the invitee does not already have an invena account, they must create one first.

Can I share with someone who does not have an account?

Not directly. Invitees must create an account or sign in before they can access a Space.

Can I invite anyone?

You should only invite people you trust. You are responsible for the role you assign and for the information you share in that Space.

Can I remove someone from a Space?

Yes. Space owners can manage members and permissions at any time, including revoking access.

What if I was invited by mistake?

You can ignore the email. Until you accept, you have no access. If you have a pending invitation, you can decline it from Invitations in the app. If you have concerns, contact support@invena.app.

Using the app

What is a Space?

A Space is a private area where you store and share household continuity information with people you trust. It is not a public folder.

What are document previews?

When you upload a document, such as a PDF, invena may show an extracted text preview to help you review it before saving it as a record.

Previews are assistive and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They do not automatically become part of your records unless you choose to proceed.

Can I use invena on my phone?

The current beta runs in a web browser, including on mobile. Native iOS and Android apps are planned. The mobile interface is usable, but still improving.

Is invena a will, legal advice, or emergency service?

No. invena helps you organise and share information. It is not a law firm, financial adviser, medical service, or emergency response tool. It is not a substitute for a will or power of attorney. Do not rely on it as your only copy of critical documents.

If you need legal, financial, or medical advice, speak to a qualified professional.

Account and data rights

How do I change my password?

Go to Account → Security in the app. You will need your current password.

Can I export my data?

Automated export is not yet available in beta. For now, email privacy@invena.app if you want to request access to your data.

How do I delete my account?

Self-serve account deletion is not yet available in beta. Email privacy@invena.app to request account closure and deletion of associated data.

Processing time may vary depending on backups and legal retention requirements.

What happens if I delete my account?

We will handle your request in line with applicable law. Some data may remain for a limited period in backups or for legal, security, or audit reasons, as described in our Privacy Policy.

What happens when I delete a Space or record?

Deleted items enter a recovery window before permanent removal. For example, records may be retained for 30 days and Spaces for 90 days before permanent purge.

See our Privacy Policy for details.
